ELECTION 2008: OBAMA & THE MUSLIM MANDATE

A recent article in the Detroit News regarding the Obama campaign’s meeting with Muslims, Arabs and Chaldeans in Dearborn caught my attention.  It speaks to that community’s effort to force its agenda onto the Presidential campaign via this candidate by spelling out a Muslim-favorable position Obama must necessarily take in order to garner the sizeable vote this community represents.  The link to the article is here so you can see for yourself the mandate he’s been handed:

How Obama ultimately responds will, I believe, be a reflection of character – or lack of it.  How badly does he want this vote?  Is he willing to cave in to this group and publicly name legitimate concerns regarding suspect Muslim activity in this country “Islamophobia” as they would have him do?  Time will tell.  Meanwhile, pressuring public officials to adopt a Muslim agenda is nothing new - and neither is promising votes in return for that favor.

In 2007, the Muslim American Society claimed credit for Jim Webb’s 2006 defeat of George Allen in Virginia.  Mahdi Bray, the Society’s Executive Director, told The Washington Times:  “Ask Jim Webb what kind of impact we have.  Ask the governor of Virginia what kind of impact we have … The Democrats’ win hinged on the Muslim vote”.

Steven Emerson, Executive Director of The Investigative Project on Terrorism and arguably the single-most respected expert on Muslim subversive activity in this country, has written an article regarding the UN’s “special rapporteur” Doudou Diene’s visit to the United States to investigate possible ‘human rights’ violations.  Want to guess who orchestrated that visit?  I’ve included the link to the article here so you can familiarize yourself with who the “Islamophobia” campaign players are and what they represent:

I believe that a clear understanding of what your vote may get you is important in any election but especially so when electing a President.  Who or what rides the coattails of that person into the White House can make all the difference in what comes out of the Oval Office.  At issue in this instance is nothing short of a literal dictation to a candidate of what he must say as he seeks that office as well as what policy changes he must make should he attain it - I find both totally unacceptable.  How Obama will find them remains to be seen.
