ELECTION 2008: E PLURIBUS UNUM

Out of many, one – the motto of the United States – readily understood by most of us to mean one sovereign nation composed of 50 sovereign states.  Not so with Freshman Senator Barack Obama, whose definition of that phrase is ‘out of many nations, one world’ as evidenced by his remarks in Berlin.

Global Socialism is the message Obama’s delivering on this much-touted trip abroad, as he offers up the sovereignty, wealth and resources of our nation to bring about Karl Marx’s ‘redistribution of wealth’ on a global scale.  Call it economic parity, call it redistribution of wealth, call it anything you like – but know this.  It is Marx-styled Socialism, it is the core of Black Liberation theology, and it is Barack Obama – the one consistent position he has maintained, to date.

Obama is tinkering with America’s sovereignty, delivering it up to foreign nations in exchange for a comfy seat around a perceived world-wide kumbaya campfire.  Yet the spin doctors have already likened his appearance in Berlin to that of Kennedy and Reagan.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  First and foremost, neither was a Socialist – Obama is precisely that.  Second, neither opted to sell America short to gain favor in a foreign theatre.  Obama did just that as he failed to mention this country’s position as leader of the Free World, or the countless efforts both our nation and our men and women in the Armed Forces have made to help secure freedom, justice, educational opportunity, medical care, and better living conditions for thousands across the globe.  He is neither Kennedy nor Reagan, and never will be.  They put their country first.  Obama hasn’t done that, and won’t, because he doesn’t acknowledge or embrace the sovereignty of America.  Extrapolate that out and ask yourself this question:  How willing  would he be to proactively secure and defend  this country against her enemies, both foreign and domestic, given the zero value he’s placed on its sovereignty?  The FULL implications for your national security, and mine, are enormous.

My vote will go to John McCain because his loyalty to this nation has been tested and proven, because he’s able to step away from himself and put the country first, and because I know beyond doubt that he will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty should the need arise.  The same cannot be said for the Far Left Freshman Senator from Illinois.  He can strike any pose in any clothes in any country of his choosing – it matters not.  He has never been, he is not now, nor will he ever be qualified for the presidency because he willfully refuses to make our nation his first priority – yesterday’s remarks solidifed that.  So did his actions.  He stood before Berliners, in his words, not as a candidate but as a “proud citizen of the United States and a citizen of the world.”  Pure gibberish.  That ‘proud citizen’ had no genuine interest in a visit with wounded American service members in hospital, in country.  And, when asked about such a visit, he responded that he didn’t feel it appropriate to use campaign funds in that manner.  Notice the glaring inconsistency?  First a private citizen, then a candidate.  John McCain, in like circumstances, would have made it a point to spend time with wounded service members who have given so much for their country.  Barack Obama made it a point NOT to … and conjured up some pseudo-ethical excuse as the reason.  The next president of the United States?  Not if I can help it.  He’s a pandering, empty-suited, master manipulator with no recognizable intrinsic values.
