that began to slip out from under our national economy the very FIRST time Democrats forced Fannie & Freddie to enable home ownership to those with no ability or no intention to pay. What we’re seeing at this writing is the culmination of what happens when liberal ideology replaces sound business practice – it’s not a pretty picture and many across the country, including this writer, are paying the price exacted when socialism forcibly injects itself into a capitalist economy.
To be sure, many along the path to today played a role in the snowballing which took that first ill-gotten extension of credit and parlayed it into the debacle that is our nation’s current economy. Many fingers have been, and will be, pointed in numerous directions to squarely place blame on any one of a number of culprits. Nevertheless, the TRUE culprit is the doggedly-determined mindset of Senator Obama and his liberal cronies which insist upon, and force, the carte blanche giving of all things to all people, irrespective of personal trustworthiness or consequence to country. To the Senator, and others of like mind, that’s the much-discussed ’American Dream’. I couldn’t disagree more. I believe that, collectively, we’re independent and simply want an opportunity to work and adequately provide for ourselves and the needs of our families.
This nation literally cannot afford the big give-away Obama and the liberal-controlled Congress plan to execute should he take office. First and foremost, extending TOTAL control of our government to a single ideological entity eliminates Balance of Power and is both unwise and dangerous. Second, we are today experiencing what happens when social engineering is given a role in our national economy – disaster results.
Our choice come November is going to make all the difference in how well, and how quickly, we’re able to recover from the ill-conceived, runaway generosity which has nearly brought our nation to its knees. We have bona fide, opportunistic enemies ready to capitalize on ANY national vulnerability, including financial. We simply can’t permit that to happen.
