The DonkeyDem “stimulus” package currently before Congress is likely the largest collection of garbage ever to grace those “hallowed halls”. Disguised as the ‘answer’ to our country’s economic woes, this legislation is nothing more than a not-so-clever attempt by Chief Jackass Pelosi to enable all those ’societal changes’ so near and dear to her DonkeyDem heart. Kudos to every Republican and the 11 Democrats who recognized it for what it was and voted NO.
The way to jumpstart the economy is SIMPLE:
CUT the COST of DOING BUSINESS - period. One doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist, or respected economist, to understand the following BUSINESS 101 formula:
LESS overhead=MORE profitability=EXPANSION=JOBS
Until someone, anyone, in Washington gets that and ACTS on it, we’ll all continue to be bogged down in this mess. If you need a JOB, American business large and small absolutely HAS to be cut some slack. The Corporate Tax Rate and Payroll taxes have to be cut, the Capital Gains Tax has to be reduced, and restrictions choking free enterprise have to be lifted. Unless those things happen, there will be zero business expansion - hence, no jobs and no money for consumer spending, which is the key driver of our economic growth. It’s as simple as that.
