Last Friday, November 6, the Director of the Congressional Budget Office published his report on the Federal Budget Deficit for Fiscal Year 2009.  The following link is provided for your ready reference:  http://cboblog.cbo.gov/?p=422

Following are quoted excerpts from that report:

“…the federal government recorded a total budget deficit of $1.4 trillion in fiscal year 2009, about $960 billion more than the deficit incurred in 2008.”

“…the federal deficit rose as a share of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) from 3.1 percent in 2008 to 9.9 percent in 2009 – the highest deficit as a share of GDP since 1945.”

…”The increase in the deficit …reflected a sharp drop in revenues and a substantial increase in spending.”

“Outlays rose by 18 percent in 2009, the fastest growth since 1975.”

“Payments for unemployment benefits in 2009 were more than 2-1/2 times the amount paid in 2008…that jump was caused by substantially greater unemployment and increased benefits.”

Right now today Obama, Emanuel and Axelrod are, in effect, bribing public servants in Washington in an attempt to ensure passage of yet another item on the Soros Socialist Agenda:

As of this writing national unemployment is at 10% (and counting), federal spending is through the roof (and counting),  and now here comes yet another Progressive-generated “crisis” that simply has to be addressed ‘right now’ – it is, after all, a “historic moment”.  This moment in time is indeed ‘historic’ but certainly not in the manner described by the wild-eyed jackass posing as a Speaker.  What’s ‘historic’ is the absolute disregard the Soros-led Progressives have for:  (1)  the clearly-evidenced will of the people, (2) some 30 million jobless Americans (3) the current, and forseeable future, economic stability of the country, and (4) the Constitution of the United States.  What’s ‘historic’ is that these Progressives are today, in the name of “the healthcare crisis”, asking you, the taxpayer, to (1) assume an additional debt burden of at least $1 trillion, (2) agree to the arbitrary confiscation of your income if you don’t purchase health insurance, and (3) pay more and higher taxes:

Employer Mandate Excise Tax: If an employer does not pay 72.5 percent of a single employee’s health premium (65 percent of a family employee), the employer must pay an excise tax equal to 8 percent of average wages.  Small employers (measured by payroll size) have smaller payroll tax rates of 0 percent (<$500,000), 2 percent ($500,000-$585,000), 4 percent ($585,000-$670,000), and 6 percent ($670,000-$750,000).

Individual Mandate Surtax: If an individual fails to obtain qualifying coverage, he must pay an income surtax equal to the lesser of 2.5 percent of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) or the average premium.  MAGI adds back in the foreign earned income exclusion and municipal bond interest.

Medicine Cabinet Tax: Non-prescription medications would no longer be able to be purchased from health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs), or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs).  Insulin excepted.

Cap on FSAs: FSAs would face an annual cap of $2500 (currently uncapped). 

Increased Additional Tax on Non-Qualified HSA Distributions: Non-qualified distributions from HSAs would face an additional tax of 20 percent (current law is 10 percent).  This disadvantages HSAs relative to other tax-free accounts (e.g. IRAs, 401(k)s, 529 plans, etc.)

Denial of Tax Deduction for Employer Health Plans Coordinating with Medicare Part D: This would further erode private sector participation in delivery of Medicare services.

Surtax on Individuals and Small Businesses: Imposes an income surtax of 5.4 percent on MAGI over $500,000 ($1 million married filing jointly).  MAGI adds back in the itemized deduction for margin loan interest.  This would raise the top marginal tax rate in 2011 from 39.6 percent under current law to 45 percent—a new effective top rate.

Excise Tax on Medical Devices: Imposes a new excise tax on medical device manufacturers equal to 2.5 percent of the wholesale price.  It excludes retail sales and unspecified medical devices sold to the general public.

Reality Check:  Look at your personal and/or family checkbook and ask yourself these questions:

Can (I/we) afford to:  (1) pay more taxes? (2) pay fines for not having health insurance? (3) pay more for medical devices?  (4) pay more for “non-qualified distributions” from (my/our) Health Savings Account? (5) have (my/our) Flexible Spending Account capped? Can I and my family AFFORD this?

H.R. 3962, the “Affordable Health Care for America Act” has been introduced–all 1990 pages of it.  This gargantuan beast contains thirteen new tax hikes.  Here they all are, with description and page number (PDF version):

Corporate 1099-MISC Information Reporting (Page 344): Requires that 1099-MISC forms be issued to corporations as well as persons for trade or business payments.  Current law limits to just persons for small business compliance complexity reasons.  Also expands reporting to exchanges of property.

Delay in Worldwide Allocation of Interest (Page 345): Delays for nine years the worldwide allocation of interest, a corporate tax relief provision from the American Jobs Creation Act

Limitation on Tax Treaty Benefits for Certain Payments (Page 346): Increases taxes on U.S. employers with overseas operations looking to avoid double taxation of earnings.

Codification of the “Economic Substance Doctrine” (Page 349): Empowers the IRS to disallow a perfectly legal tax deduction or other tax relief merely because the IRS deems that the motive of the taxpayer was not primarily business-related.

Application of “More Likely Than Not” Rule (Page 357): Publicly-traded partnerships and corporations with annual gross receipts in excess of $100 million have raised standards on penalties.  If there is a tax underpayment by these taxpayers, they must be able to prove that the estimated tax paid would have more likely than not been sufficient to cover final tax liability.

Over the past couple of years, Barack Obama’s Far Left handlers have time and again staged him in Springfield, Illinois for the deliverance of their message du jour.  As with all Obama ‘events’, each staging is orchestrated to fix a visual image in the viewing public’s mind.  The glitz is designed to gloss over innuendo contained in Obama rhetoric so that what’s seen is readily brought to mind…not what’s said.  The intent, of course, is for the public to be so taken with what it all ‘looks like’ that the radical message being delivered goes relatively unnoticed. 

Springfield…the final resting place of Abraham Lincoln, the great emancipator.  What better stage could one find to deliver a message about “leveling the playing field”?  After all, wasn’t that what Lincoln stood for?  No, it wasn’t.  The message Barack Obama continues to deliver is diametrically opposed to the message of Abraham Lincoln, regardless of backdrop.  Read again Lincoln’s words above:  “Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently to build one for himself…”  Ask yourself this question:  Is Obama creating  jobs so you’re able to ‘work diligently’ to build your own house that Lincoln spoke of?  No, he isn’t.  In fact, he’s intent upon creating exactly the opposite…a Socialist State of Entitlement, replete with citizens dependent upon Central Government for even the most basic of necessities like shelter.  Notice that Lincoln stated that “property is the fruit of labor…”  Thus, one can logically conclude that Lincoln believed that without labor, one cannot reasonably expect to enjoy its ‘fruit’, e.g. property in all its various forms.  Obama, on the other hand, believes exactly the opposite…that if your neighbor has more than you, you should rob him of the fruit of his labor rather than working to produce your own…seize his wealth, don’t create your own.  The two philosophies could not be more different. 

The very emancipation that Lincoln championed is today threatened by the Obama Socialist Agenda.  A ‘master’ is a master regardless of time and space.  In Lincoln’s time it was Southern landowners…today it’s Central Government – but the definition of slavery remains the same.  Any entity that robs any peoples of meaningful work and its rightful earned reward is a slaver in the truest sense of the word for it forces dependency on handouts.  Therein lays the crux of the Socialist agenda – obliteration of self sufficiency and personal reward, the exact principles Lincoln fought and ultimately died for.  And, oh, by the way, did you notice he was white?  And a Republican?  Wow!  What a red-necked, tea-baggin’ racist he was!  Who knew?!     

First Amendment Rights Don’t Require Your Approval

The Flame of Liberty is burning brightly along Main Street, USA.  It will not be extinguished regardless of the hatred you spew or the insults you hurl.  The collective voice of bona fide patriots across the country is continuing to gather – and it will drown you out. 

Whether you like it or not, America is a nation founded upon Judeo-Christian principles by statesmen who earnestly sought guidance from their Creator as they diligently worked to establish a new Republic.  You can force God out of the public square but you cannot separate Him from His chosen elect.  Theirs is a personal relationship you know nothing about.  Abiding within His people, He will, therefore, always be present within this society irrespective of your efforts.

The Constitution of the United States is the law of the land – not Leftist hatemongers.   Said Constitution guarantees each and every citizen the right to freely speak.  Whether you approve of their message is inconsequential and your concentrated efforts to abridge that right by silencing the people’s voice will not succeed. 

Thoughtful Americans across the country clearly understand who you are and what you are about.  They know that your venomous tentacles are wrapped lovingly around the White House, the Congress, and the mainstream media.  They know that hatred is your byword and the driving force of your every move.  They easily recognize your camp followers – they are identical in demeanor and message:  down with the Republic, down with capitalism, down with religiosity … up with a new world order, up with socialism, up with hedonism. 

Contrary to your canned message emanating from the White House, ‘we’ are not all in this together.  We, the people of Mainstream America, know and believe in God, the Constitution, and the Republic.  We honor the Flag of the United States, our men and women in uniform, life, and the sanctity of marriage.  We uphold our homes and families and our right to keep and bear arms to successfully defend both.  We are the heart of America – and we know the meaning of liberty. It is not a negotiable commodity.   

The President, the Speaker of the House, Hollywood, and various media outlets may be in your pocket but we will never be.  The foundation upon which we stand is firm and unerring and we know without doubt what is true, what is right, and what is just.  We are people of faith, integrity and principle – possessors of a quality of character that cannot be purchased at any price. 

We will speak the truth, defend our faith, uphold our Constitutional Republic and keep the Flame of Liberty burning.  We are the spirit of America and your best efforts on a good day to eliminate us and the values we uphold from this society will never be good enough.

Liberty – Freedom from Tyranny

The aroma emanating from the White House smells like dirty socks…the sweaty kind that have lain at the bottom of the laundry basket and developed that rancid odor so pungent they’re not worth washing. As with the oft-quoted fish that smells from the head down, so too is the malodorous ‘fragrance’ billowing out from Washington traceable to the Socialist-In-Chief and his hand-picked cadre of radical revolutionaries.

Today, in concert with a no-holds barred effort to forcibly inject Americans with an unwanted dose of socialized medicine is an equally forceful assault on the freedoms of speech and of the press guaranteed to all citizens in Amendment I of the Bill of Rights.  First, it was slandering folks who ‘cling to their guns and religion’.  Then it was slandering ‘tea-baggers’.  After that came slander against Town Hall participants.  Currently, of course, the slander is aimed at Fox News.  I won’t dignify Administration attacks on Fox by discussing them here – they’re not worthy of my time.  What is noteworthy is remembering that it was Obama himself who delivered the disparaging ‘clinging’, ‘tea-bagger’ remarks.  Make no mistake – the Socialist revolutionaries surrounding Obama are a visible and accurate reflection of who he himself is.

This Administration’s current obsession with control of the press is not new…it was present during the campaign and a recently-aired video of remarks by Anita Dunn bears that out.  So does recalling that many reporters who traveled with the Obama campaign good-naturedly complained at the time that they couldn’t gain access to him.  Why was that?  Because no one close to the campaign, including Obama, wanted you to know who he really was, who his friends really were, or what he was really about.  He was smart enough to know that if you, the voter, knew the truth, you likely wouldn’t vote for him.  So his campaign made certain that you ‘saw’ only what they wanted you to see – Dunn said that.  That, of course, is deception of the highest order so it should come as no real surprise to anyone at this point in time that deception continues to be ‘the order of the day’ from the White House.  Obama and his lackeys learned the value of controlling the press early on and because they can’t control Fox, they’re after them – it’s as simple as that.

The bigger picture we, as citizens, are faced with is the eradication of our right to information from an unabridged press.  TASS, the State-owned news agency of the former USSR, is a stellar example of what happens to “news” in the hands of the State.  That “news”, of course, becomes no news at all, morphing instead into propaganda – which is where Obama took us during the campaign and where he and his people want to take us now by demonizing Fox, Rush, ‘tea-baggers’, Town Hall participants, ‘clingers’, etc. and shutting down all opposing thought.  That, folks, is tyranny.

We Can Do Better Than This

Eight years ago heroic passengers on United Flight 93 voluntarily gave their lives to spare those of the men and women occupying our nation’s seat of government in Washington, D.C.  Ask yourself this question:  Do you believe today’s Administration, riddled with socialist revolutionaries from the White House down, is what they chose to die for? 

On Thursday October 15 Charlie Rangel, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, sent a letter to John Spratt, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, with Reconciliation Instructions and enclosures, including an 882-page Healthcare Reform bill dated August 25, 2009 calling for, among other things, the establishment and administration of a Public Health Insurance Option – which a solid majority of citizens across the country have consistently said they do NOT want.  The following link is provided for your ready reference: http://waysandmeans.house.gov/legis.asp?formmode=item&number=693 

Why then is this option in there?  Because the Progressives, led by Obama, Pelosi, and Reid could care less what you want.  You’ve heard Obama emphatically state his determination to get healthcare ‘reform’ passed.  With Rangel’s Reconciliation instructions to Spratt, the stage has been set to do just that, come hell or high water.  How much more surreptitious and unresponsive to the will of the people does this Administration have to become before we throw them all out and start over?

From an Internal Memorandum titled:   On The General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America, written in 1991 by a senior Muslim Brotherhood leader:  “ The Ikhwan [Muslim brothers] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

 “We must not forget that Allah’s rules have to be established in all lands, and all our efforts should lead to that direction.”  Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, former president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)

 Below are examples of the ‘cultural enrichment’ Islam has brought to America: 

 “those women on whose part you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to their beds and beat them” (Quran 4:34)

 “In St. Louis, a 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her Pakistani father.  In Atlanta, a daughter was strangled to death with a bungee cord by her Pakistani father.  In Rochester, a teen-aged girl was ‘stabbed all over multiple times’ by her Afghani brother.  And in Lewisville, a Dallas-area suburb, two teen girls were shot to death by their Egyptian father in the back of his taxicab…In the Atlanta case, the daughter of Choudry Rashid was seeking a divorce out of an ‘arranged marriage’.  In the Rochester case, the victim (an honor student and recipient of a full 4-year collegiate scholarship) was described as a “bad Muslim girl” by her brother, and in the Texas case, two beautiful, smart, vibrant young women were killed because of their relationships with non-Muslim American boyfriends.”

Islam’s reason for coming en masse to the United States has never been, is not now, and will never be the assimilation alluded to in Obama’s remarks.  Its goal of world domination, including North America, is unambiguously articulated above by the Muslim Brotherhood, ISNA, and CAIR, named an unindicted co-conspirator in the successfully-prosecuted Holy Land Foundation trial.  For additional clarity regarding both the absoluteness and ongoing pursuit of that goal, your attention is directed to articles by IPT on the Hizb Ut-Tahrir conference held in Chicago this past July:

The activity and rhetoric in these articles leaves nothing to the imagination. Only a dolt or a propagandizing sympathizer would praise this philosophy and its spawn as culturally enriching. This writer leaves it to you to decide for yourself which term most aptly describes Obama.
